I also personally hand make my tattoo machines and we offer them too. “Victim”, “ Jubei” and “ Brawlers, Inc.” Adam Wood from right down the road here hand crafts metal rings, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. We have a few brands of clothing made locally. I have the autoclave and ultrasound machine and throw away EVERY needle. Well you have to be certified in CPR, bloodborne pathogens, skin physiology, and more. What kind of safety procedures do you have? The tattoo artist should be an artist first. You know they are practicing all the time and love doing it. The person should also be an artist….painting, drawing, sculpture, anything. Do they have artwork?ĭo you mean tattoo artwork or art in general? Is the artist friendly or act like you’re bothering him or her? Do they have portfolios available? Ask them where they apprenticed. Well right away, when you walk in what condition is the place in? Is it a wreck? How clean is the front room? That will be an indicator. If I was new to get tattoos, what should I be looking for when I walk into a place? How do I know if the person is not a hack? There’s a bunch in the portfolio and on the Facebook page that people can see. I take it portraits are something you enjoy doing? A portion of that gets donated to charity. No, our customers are soccer moms, grandmas, young people, old people, politicians, cops, doctors, you name it. Keep it local.Įveryone who comes in just got out of prison or is a biker, right? People were leaving New Bedford and going to other places. There was a need for quality tattooing in New Bedford. New Bedford had one shop when I started the ball rolling and that one wasn’t officially open yet. There are about a dozen shops in Fall River, one in Acushnet, a bunch in Wareham, and other surrounding areas. He opened his doors four months ago and business is already booming. In fact in these days of uncertainty and social isolation I oftentimes think about the sun kissed afternoon I effortlessly drifted through this brewery buzzed on tantalizing bitter IPA's and my best friend and also my wife.Yesterday I caught up with tattoo shop owner Jeremy Gaudreau, a local businessman that recently opened his shop “Living Canvas” at 1881 Acushnet Avenue in New Bedford. Bobby and I aren't going to waste what precious little time we have left on this planet going to a place that sucked. If you're thinking about checking this place out I'd highly recommend it, I mean if you knew Bobby it's where he'd take you and TRUST me Bobby only takes you to the BEST places I know first hand! You think you wouldn't like going here YEAH right! Trust me you'll love it. I really thought the service was among the best breweries I've ever been to. Beer was pretty dang good and they had some cool shirts. And the space is big enough for that kind of carefree tom-foolery. Bobby and me are older now but we love playing Manhunt in bars (Nightcrawlers just isn't practical or safe regardless of whether or not the bar will provide you blankets. Also when I say hipster here I don't mean it in the bad Mumford and Sons overtime has a tattoo of a fork or Blanket from The Brave Little Toaster, I mean just like hip. Plenty of room and comfortable but still has that artisanal hipster feel. The people there were all pleasant and nice and the brewery is actually really well setup, as in the functional design of everything is pleasant. So he suggested Harpoon Brewery.can I just say our time there was sublime. Im dead serious - he makes the candle from Beauty and the Beast look like HG Wells. If there's one thing Bobby know how to do is serve up fun on a silver platter. My wife and I were looking for something to do that we could see somewhat of a touristy thing but also just chill and relax. We met in Florida and he's a total Florida kid: good looking, great tan, relishes in a deep piquant nihilism, you know the type. But seriously, all jokes aside I came up to Boston last year for a wedding on Block Island and stayed with my friend Bobby. My best friend Bobby and I came to this brewery WITH OUR WIVES *Borat Voice*.
